Cognitive Priming is a method of stimulating your subconscious, which in turn nudges your conscious in making decisions. You will not sense anything directly – but, your ever-working subconscious is constantly sensitive to triggers and in turn nudging your conscious mind to make positive and healthy decisions. Cognitive Priming can only nudge you to do that which you are already motivated to do.
Once you Start the Priming in Control, the app recedes into the background and the Priming starts, a flash every minute or so. EZ-4U Habit-Builder™ uses images you select that best remind you and motivate you of your specific goals. The Primes are only delivered when touching your screen. Most people will not see anything; however, some may see a flash. Your subconscious will process the image but your conscious will not sense the image. This lack of distraction is the advantage of Cognitive Priming over all other motivational methods.
Health and wellness apps do well to monitor and to track your progress and ideally lead you to form new healthy habits. By also using the EZ-4U Habit-Builder™ app, you receive motivational Primes that nudge you to use your app long enough to form new and sustainable habits. EZ-4U Habit-Builder™ apps also allow you to select three of twelve sub-goals, which are foundational to reaching your bigger goals.
There are two indications to ascertain: the first is that you may sense a flash on your screen about every two minutes or so; the second is the Daily Question. The Daily Question is generally a simple Yes/No question that is delivered, following a prompt, at the time of day you prefer. The more frequently your unconscious is stimulated by a Prime, the more powerful the Priming effect will be. Training your mind with the Training & Support module daily will help to strengthen the association between images and your goal.
Cognitive Priming has been repeatedly shown to nudge a person’s decision-making in controlled experiments. Until Creative Cognitions™, LLC the power of Cognitive Priming was not available for field use or for the public. EZ-4U Habit-Builder™ app uses a very fast exposure of the Priming image and that exposure is set as a default. If you feel that it is not being effective, then you may try lengthening the exposure time by doubling or tripling the exposure time. However, ascertain you cannot consciously see the images, as visible images may become a conscious distraction. You can change this setting by going into the Introduction module and tapping on the Phone Setup button on the bottom of the page. On the new page, you can select a 32 or 48 millisecond exposure and “Save” that selection.
